England rugby hits a new low ...

For the last 12 years the week before the start of the 6 Nations has seen chariots of cash come in for the England team. However this year we've seen nothing but doom and gloom about England if punter money is anything to go by.

On extrabet's "Where will England finish market?" people have backed England to finish 5th in the table in from 6/1 to 9/2 and to finish last from 18/1 to 14/1. With difficult away games to France, Italy and Scotland and a poor showing in the Autumn internationals it's understandable why England are not fancied this year.
"We've never had such furious betting against an England rugby team in since 1998" says extrabet's Chris Shillington.

Elsewhere Scotland have been popular on the betting markets and in particular their price to finish 4th in the table at 4/1 and 3rd at 8/1.
France (6/4) and Ireland 2/1 are clear favorites to lift the title with a showdown between the 2 in Paris in 13th February key.

TO WIN THE 6 NATIONS
FRANCE 6/4
IRELAND 2/1
WALES 4/1
ENGLAND 5/1
SCOTLAND 20/1
ITALY 250/1

WHERE WILL ENGLAND FINISH?
1ST 5/1
2ND 7/2
3RD 3/1
4TH 5/2
5TH 9/2
6TH 14/1
