He who dares

He who dares wins - or loses the lot if you're not careful.

However this weekend's Premier League fixtures have thrown up a couple of potential gems. Look at Hull v Chelsea, Arsenal v Everton and Birmingham v Man Utd.

Now you wouldn't want your house on any of the underdogs in these ones unless you want the three bed semi to turn into a cardboard box room, but there is some value.

I'll be getting some of the cash I stash away from the misses every week (we all do it) and having a little fun on these clashes for sure. Hull are interesting and not just because manager Phil Brown has still managed to keep his suntan in these subzero temperatures.

But the draw at 4/1 with Victor Chandler seems a good price with the pitch sure to be in so much trouble Pete Doherty would have more grass on him. The superstars have always struggled at this time of year and the pitch and weather are exactly the reason why.

Hull won't lie down and if they can contain Carlo Ancelotti's men for the opening 20 minutes who knows - especially with the Blues lacking strikers.

Then it's Arsenal v Everton which you all must think I'm mad for even mentioning when you consider Everton haven't won away at Arsenal since '96, but there is a big difference… Cesc Fabregas is out.

I don't care what Arsene Wenger says The Gunners are like a Rolex without a battery when the playmaking Spaniard is injured - they look great but just don't work.

Fabregas had to rescue them against Aston Villa by coming off the bench and without him tomorrow 7/1 with Blue Sq for an Everton upset gets my wallet opening up.

Last and probably the most interesting of the three bets is Birmingham who have the joint second best defence in the league having only conceded 18 goals in total. Looking at their home record they've conceded the least goals at home in the Premier League however they have also scored the least out of any club.

So with 0-0 a 10/1 shot with Extrabet and a Birmingham 1-0 win at 13/1 there is some value as the champions Manchester United still don't look themselves at the back. Also interestingly there has only been one goal separating the two sides in their last three clashes - although in the favour of United.

He who dares wins - but don't come crying to be if you don't!
